GREED (part 1 of 7): the 7 deadly sins and why they can be good

GREED
(it IS a good thing)

the seven deadly sins are deadly in that, in large enough amounts, they could lead to ones death. (or an epic and bizzare movie called "7". spoiler: the next number is eight).  they are also sins because technically they are illegal in large amounts. greed is a powerful feeling that most living things experience. animals, plants, humans, and even planets experience some form of greed.
wolves are greedy when it comes to food, mating, hunting, and dominance (but hey, what human- er wolf doesn't). there is a pack leader (alpha) and a pack follower (omega), and while the leader gets first pick the follower gets the last pick. being an omega is not particularly a BAD thing, as you eventually will leave the pack and join another.
plants also feel greed for sunlight, quantity, and position (like a vine wrapping around a tree and killing it. or how one flower might grown taller and larger than another. or, my favorite, how a rose grows among a cluster of thorns.)  when plants grow they stretch out towards the sun. a plant that grows OVER the top of its light source will eventually bend and wrap downwards till its face is directed towards the light.
planets experience greed in the form of gravity and gasses. gravity (which is electromagnetic force) tends to pull things in or push them away depending on the charge. when a planet or star dies and turns into a black hole they will suck everything in till nothing is left. what is more is that they will grow larger the more they suck in.
humans experience greed in may forms, only one of which they recognize, money. greed taken too far is a very bad thing, as it can lead to theft and other crimes. but greed in small amounts is actually a good thing. working a shitty job and having greed for a better paying job can lead to a better job with benefits, health insurance, and being able to better care for yourself and others.
but greed encompasses all things far and wide. women, money, property, posessions, friendship, power, and even fame; all are encompassed within the parimeters of greed. greed is a product of avarice, which is essentially an insatiable craving to own EVERYTHING. greed is like a vaccine, in small amounts it can make a living thing achieve greatness. in large amounts in can kill a man or lead to another mans death.
greed for women is good in that it leads to man wanting to find a woman to mate and have a family with. (in lesbians case its a woman finding another woman to either adopt a family, or through artificial insemination. in the case of gays its a man trying to find another man to adopt children, or find a surrogate mother to use for artificial insemination.) it can lead to that man being willing t protect his spouse at all costs, even to the point of taking a bullet for them.
greed for property can drive someone to move into a better home or neighborhood. whats more is if ones reason and drive for finding a new home is greed that person will try to find the best home for the cheapest price. in my case the previous homeowner made the mistake of saying  they really wanted to get rid of the place and move to a bigger one. that, and the condo is kind of inhabited by a friendly and goofy spirit.
there are many jobs that have greed as a basis. real estate, stock portfolio, bankers, casinos, investors, and company CEO's all need to have some basis of greed in order to do their jobs. though personally I think many take it a step too far. greed should never come before the well being of others and especially not before love or family. remember that if you put greed before the feelings of others you are headed on a path towards self destruction and death.
greed for posessions can lead a man to buying or trying new things he has never owned or tried before. sometimes trying new things can end in a lot of fun and new experiences that you will ultimately remember for the rest of your life. when you want to own something and you steal it THAT is too much greed. you shouldn't steal from others unless what you steal was previously yours or stolen from you. (with the exception of virginity, in that case call the police and a planned parenthood clinic. and DO NOT steal their virginity cause well, that is called rape; which is illegal.)
they steal your phone so you steal their bike, then they steal your car and you steal their wife. now you have a hot wife and a bike, neither of which are yours. but who cares? right? you can ride your bike around doing wheelies while you neighbor pisses on your front lawn and then runs you over with YOUR car and steals you- er, HIS wife back.
greed for friendship is somewhat a good thing till you steal someone elses friend. the worst part is that even when you build them a display case and you buy the "new best friend" clothing line from Hasbro and offer them a nice box to live in and new clothes to wear as long as they never open the original packaging, they STILL call the police on you and have you arrested for kidnapping. damn it officer! I already told you I aint got no kid sleeping in my house! hey put down my new best friend wearing the tickle me elmo best friend shirt! your finger prints will ruin his value!
greed for power is great to have if you are in a position where power is required. but power is not determined by how strong one is, but rather how it is used and how much is used. greed for power can drive one to become stronger and achieve a better live. athletes and MMA fighters require greed in order to do their appointed jobs. (I get paid in sandwiches! :D yes you can has cheeseburger!!)
greed towards fame is not something one should crave for. fame is great, but once it corrupts you there is no going back. fame can turn the most innocent of men into a total drug addicted slut. even Justin beiber has become corrupted now.
greed is great as long as it remains restrained by the person feeling it. however there is a difference between greed and envy. greed encompasses a strong urge to own EVERYTHING, while envy is an urge to own only that which others have that you do not. envy, the spawn of jealousy; will be the next sin I cover (besides myself when I get done showering. who the hell needs clothes?! not with imagination! you can make your own invisible clothes made of the finest silks! and then get arrested for indecent exposure, haha.)
