the most broken and hardest leader battle in a pokemon game of all time? [totally NOT what youd expect]

ok so i felt that this just needed to be covered. for those of you who fought cynthia youre like, "f**k me! how the hell do i beat her?!" well i found that simply taking advantage of her STARTING with spiritomb was a HUGE advantage on your part. primarily due to the fact that
 1. spiritomb has a limited physical movepool.
 2. she will likely spam sucker punch and make your cry like a bitch.
so what do you do? just use ANY pokemon who has a stat boosting move [either attack+speed like gyarados or swords dance]. then follow up with a powerful priority or high damage move. i literally made a habit of using nothing but scizor/scyther [bullet punch/quick attack+swords dance] to just kill the ENTIRE elite four. [with fire and steel types being exceptions.] and fire red/leaf green brough counter in, meaning you could counter physical attacks from most elite four members.
this same tactic works for cynthia [with virtually any pokemon with swords dance/nasty plot and respective moves]. black 2/white two introduced something fun, ninetails with drought, fire blast, solar beam, nasty plot, dark pulse, and extrasensory as moves. meaning i could use her to JUST. R.A.P.E. cynthias team.
but if you cannot catch and evolve a [syther, sneasel, empoleon, or my favorite, medicham with meditate and bullet punch] or ANY pokemon who can learn swords dance and a priority move, then you can use a FREAKING gyarados. gyarados can learn dragon dance, ice fang, earthquake, and waterfall [odds are you will forget to delete the hm move since you kind of get stuck with a pwn giant f**king waterfall IMMEDIATELY after you finish exiting victory road in diamond, pearl, and platinum].
but getting a gyarados with adamant or a fast speed can allow you to just DESTROY cynthias team. ice fang kills like more than half the team [togekiss, roserade, garchomp] and gyarados' intimidate lowers garchomps attack upon entering battle. [so switch BEFORE she throws it out]. i found that just about ANY gyarados from level 55/56 and up can roughly two shot garchomp with ice fang. and intimidate+gyarados decent hp allows it to live through dragon rush and even stone edge. plus earthquake kills lucario and waterfall can pretty easily kill spiritomb.
but if you set up like two dragon dances taking advantage of spiritombs sheer lack of offensive moves and laugh while it wastes its 5 sucker punches gyarados can just MURDER her team.
this is why i see cynthia as rather simple to beat. just exploit spiritombs first position and lack of offensive moves and use stat boosters.
now gyarados intimidate has an extra feature [that was removed from the heartgold/soulsilver/platinum line upon black and white and on] is my reason for why i choose THIS leader as the hardest you EVER fight. and that is lance the dragon master, and im not referring to lance from rbyg, frlg, gsc, but rather specifically lance from HEARTGOLD and SOULSILVER. and this is due to a rather F**Ked up secondary ability that had a slim chance of activating AFTER intimidate had been used on your pokemon.
this is known as the "instant focus sash" ability that would just "activate" at random, more frequently based off how much your pokemon liked you [seen only again reintroduced in x/y where pokemon with max friendship iv's could just sluff off an attack that might kill it.]
this is not the only reason i say lance from heartgold/soul silver is the hardest leader to beat. what most of you may not know is that in the remakes of gold and silver [heartgold/soulsilver] after first beating lance, each consecutive battle after the first resulted in the npc ACTUALLY LEARNING FROM THE PREVIOUS FIGHT. yeah thats right, ever wondered why in the first fight you just hit dragonite with ice moves and froze it dragomite would just sit there and take it like a little bitch? [or if you were a di*k you use tyranitar and spammed rock slide].
well this is to 1. make the first fight plausible and easier. and 2. because the npc has not had a chance to learn your battle strategy.
well so you try to fight him again, WAIT WHAT THE-?! YOU ASS! YOU START THE FIGHT WITH FREAKING SAFEGUARD?!!! yeah that [believe it or not actually will NOT happen if you just nuke his freaking team the first time. in fact if you try blizzard to one-hit lances team the first time, the second match he will use status moves to slow and weaken you. or of you used a water type the first time he will spam the sh*t out of thunder wave and thunder.
this can make creating an effective battle strategy against lance in heartgold or soulsilver rather difficult because guess what? when you face him YET AGAIN after you get all the KANTO badges [all 16] lances npc will freaking carry over any learned tactics from previous fights against him. and its not a strategy reset, he will just add more and more complicated combinations till you are sitting there like, "WHAT. THE F**K?!!!"
for example i took advantage of lance using gyarados first [which most leader use their weakest pokemon first, allowing the stat boost+priority offense move combo to be DEADLY]. i destroyed his team with scizor, and yes I KILLED CHARIZARD WITH SCIZOR. so i tried the same tactic when i went back the second time, know what the asshat did? the npc swapped to F**KING CHARIZARD after less than two swords dances. so i thought, hey, maybe it was just a one time thing. nope. i battled him a third time, he threw out gyarados, then IMMEDIATELY SWITCHED TO CHARIZARD IN THE FIRST FREAKING TURN. and it just got worse, like at one point [and i swear on this] his FIRST POKEMON OUT was his CHARIZARD. so i was like f**k this sh*t.
oh but that isnt even the most broken thing about the heartgold/soulsilver lance. the LITERALLY MOST broken thing about his team is his gyarados. in itself, its nothing special, and if you remember in the ORIGINAL gold/silver/crystal games you could just use thunderpunch and kill his gyarados. wanna know what happens in the second fight if you use a physical electric move to try to k/o his gyarados in the heartgold/soulsilver remakes? go try it, if you feel like rage quitting.
first, all leaders have like infinite full restores, second lances heartgold/soulsilver gyarados has intimidate [which if you remember has a chance of a focus sash effect AFTER intimidate has already activtated], third lances team and npc LEARNS each time you try to refight him [and yes the pokemons stats actually can even go up so a move that DID one-hit previous battle could fail in the rematch], fourth [and quite possibly the dick move] is that gyarados' intimidates "focus sash" effect EXTENDS TO LANCES WHOLE FRIGGIN TEAM. WHAT. THE. F**K? like you try to use a physical attacker to kill lances team after the first match and they will almost ALWAYS live with 1 hp, then with the limitless supply of full restores and f**king draco meteor and outrage, he will restore their health and kill you SOOO hard that your great great grandchildren need 10 sacred ashes just to null the pain you suffer.
but youd think it ends there? HELL. F**KING. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOscrewlanceiwannahugadragonOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
what is quite possibly the MOST annoying fact about lances heartgold/soulsilver team is that his gyarados has a 100% chance of surviving ANY physical electric move used against it [specially if you used one in the first battle. in fact the more physical moves used to kill lances pokemon the higher likelyhood his pokemon will have that "focus sash" intimidate ability activate. im talking about charizard, a pokemon who is fire and flying, SURVIVING a tyranitars rock slide/stone edge [which in all reality should like SUPERKILL it.]
so guess what? no electabuzz, amphaross, or any pokemon knowing ice punch.
the odds of this stupid "focus sash" effect activating increases exponentially with rematches if you are unlucky enough to get hit by intimidate [which btw lance adds a salamance IN ADDITION to his gyarados after the 16 badges so it goes from an x4 chance to like x8/x16]. what makes even less sense is that white herbs and status resets DO NOT prevent this stupid bullsh*t crom occuring. its like getting aids or bird flu, once you get intimidated youre f*cked.
this is not the only occurance of this though. outside of lances soulsilver/heartgold battles you can see this annoying little bitch of an effect occuring in pvp battles online with arcanine and other pokemone with intimidate [though i have only ever seen it with arcanine].
it is because of these reasons:
1. lances npc learns from each fight and changes tactics and even rosters [sometimes] to counter your previous battle strategies.
2. there is ZERO MENTION that lance actually DOES the things i listed, and only by BATTLING HIM and getting P/O'd can you learn them
3. lances gyarados is like some kind of god gyarados that can survive seemingly ANY physical electric attack used after being intimidated [and even if you switch electivire in AFTER gyarados has wasted intimidate on like you alakazam theres still like almost a 100% chance it will live]
4. the fact that the rate of 1 hp intimidate survival seems to increase the more times intimidate is used and that lance later adds salamance [who is already hard enough to beat.] i mean just imagine you have one pokemon left and it knows blizzard and lance has his last dragonite up with like 25% hp, then you watch it live with 1 freaking hp only to totally f*ck up your WHOLE FIGHT.
5. the fact that the 1 hp survival SERIOUSLY screws with speed runs
6. the obvious OP moveset and stats of lances team in general and sheer lack of the f*cking move everyone spammed in the original games, tm 33: "ice punch"
7. the lack of any truly decent pokemon to par against lances team [with the exception of the extremespeed dratini]
8. lances teams movepool
9. that annoying ass aerodactyl and its f*cking rock slide that flinches
10. the addition of garchomp and salamance [yes i mentioned this, but SERIOUSLY?! GARCHOMP?! SALAMANCE?! THREE F**KING DRAGONITES? and the chance of that annoying ass "focus sash" glitch activating at ANY time. what kind of sadistic asshole decided lances national dex team? like the only way they could have made him a bigger f**k you to the players would be if they added like a raquaza or mega salamance to his team.
11. the obvious big one repeatedly mentioned: that *** damn mother #$%%# *$@# piece of @$% chance of lances pokemon somehow surviving ANY attack [even blizzard] with 1 hp. and the fact that intimidates activation on a physical attacker seemed to like gurantee the activation on at LEAST three of his pokemon. [thats right, theres almost a 100% chance that at least 1-2 of his pokemon will live with 1 hp from some unholy attack you use against it. and the chance seemed higher for charizard, gyarados, and aerdactyl. and at least ONE of his dragonites].

course one reason why lance may be easier in heartgold/soulsilver is the tm "stealth rock". it deal percentage hp damage upon swithing a pokemon in. will drop charizard by 50%, and everyone else but garchomp [duh] by 25%. and what is odd is stealth rock can [SOMEHOW] prevent the 1hp glitch from activating most of the time and allow easier dealing with lance. but odds are youll be one shot by gyarados before setting it up or die after. and btw, dont even try dragon tail/wirlwind and stealth rock cause its just a wasted movepool.
but most people wont think to try stealth rock since the idea of the fight behind lance is this sense of like you just want to, pound the crap out of him. its such a physical fight that you feel like you need to use OP moves to win. so most people might get caught up in the moment and forget about stealth rock. [its like one of those easily forgttable moves till you see it used then youre like, oh.... oh.... well.... sh*t... yeah sorry bout that EVERY FRIGGIN FIRE/FLYING/ICE/BUG POKEMON IN MY PARTY, your ALL DEAD NOW! &*&^*!!!!
