The Cat and the Rat and the experiment where I hit you with a bat.

I want to test how truly accurate those AI detectors are that they use when you write your shit using AI you lazy unicorns.

SO...

Rule #1: Here is a freebie. You may use this however you deem fit and can put it anywhere you want. You can copy it and paste it and reuse it only under ONE SOLITARY CONDITION. You MUST copy it WORD FOR WORD. (this only applies to the portion in the quotes -the story-.)

- You can copypasta it to replace text but must keep the same format and text order.

- Number of words must be the same.

- Sentence order must be the same.

- Grammar must be the same location or swapped with other grammar.

Basically you can make the entire thing just be a bunch of dongs or the word F@ck over and over. Just keep it the same. I want to see if AI detectors and MSWord can say that you are reusing it.

And nobody ever ask me what happened to Whiskers. That is Rule #2: Don't ask what Whiskers did or where he went; the CIA has him now. Something to do with a Pink Unicorn Club (I think they made a song about it).

Rule #3 is that The Rat is named Tardis, and she lives somewhere in the Ring of Fire because Sauron banished him; we dare not speak why. And if those pronouns confuse you, ask the Sea Cucumbers, but don't ever piss them off or they might become your Anemone.

"In the quiet glow of moonlight, a curious cat named Whiskers tiptoed across the kitchen floor, her emerald eyes fixed on a tiny rat nibbling a crumb beneath the table. Instead of pouncing, Whiskers paused, mesmerized by the rat’s trembling bravery. The rat, noticing the cat, froze—but Whiskers simply sat down and offered a gentle purr. Surprised yet relieved, the rat inched forward and shared a piece of the crumb, and in that silent midnight moment, an unlikely friendship began, sealed by the promise of peace and a shared midnight snack."

Anyways Rule #4 is Shutup and share a pic of something fluffy and adorable to someone random.

The frustrating world of business QRcodes - Why Does This Exist??!? [a small rant]

Why do businesses keep doing this thing where they provide QRcodes that you open on your phone, that then need to be scanned BY A PHONE, in order to learn about the business or to access the business and its info?

Seriously this bugs the shite out of me. Who invented this and why are they an idiot? Imagine trying to find out about a place of business, or access something, then they give you a QRcode. Many people do have more than one phone, but the majority of people only have one phone and this practice makes ZERO SENSE.

It's like buying new scizzors and then needing scizzors to open the package.

Or buying a knofe and needing a knife to open it.

Or geting a replacement mailbox key, which is then shipped to you, but shipped IN THE MAILBOX.

Or when you buy a new home but they leave the keys inside.

WHY ARe PeOPLe StiLL dOiNg thiS?

The Steam Deck: 5 Things Valve DOESN'T tell you (and one thing they do)

Before buying the steam deck I researched a number of YouTubers who had received review copies of the console. Due to the severe lack of availability of anyone in general forums who had a deck and also who had posted or were able to post review information, youtube was my only option. Linustechtips and mrwhosehteboss are two I looked into, as well as gameranx and several smaller channels with only a few thousand subs.

In total, I reviewed about 20-some people who had gotten the deck, and attempted to contact Reddit subs to find anyone else who may have had information they could share. Few had the deck and fewer had truly run it through its paces, like using desktop mode fully, testing compatibility, and especially the fact that nobody said whether it had a manual or whether the current SteamOS was able to have dual boot or total boot for windows.

I already had a gpdwin maxpro handheld gaming pc (as well as about 9 other handheld gaming devices), but this thing is far too heavy and cumbersome, and lacks any glass screen protectors or cases, and has absolutely ZERO storage to be able to run steams MASSIVELY sized games. As such I was looking into the steam deck in hopes it would be an end-all in terms of gaming for me. Reviews claimed it was fast, powerful, worked great and easily, and could run emulation and steam. What people left out was that emulation requires desktop mode, and desktop mode literally is too slow to even run WITHOUT using the internet, and the built-in keyboard literally does not work in desktop mode.

With all this out of the way, let me get to the chicken and potato fries of this whole thing, the list. If you are considering buying a steam deck, consider these 5 things and be sure to do your own research. Always do your own research first, just as I did. Unfortunately, when one is researching something that is so uncommon and that has had little to no market release, you have to either buy yourself first, or hope you get lucky. And I am sorely disappointed. To ship the deck out with descktop mode literally not working, and with many many technical issues, is frankly disaapointing.

Anyways, heres we go:

1. There is no cake, and there is no manual.

-If you wanted to know how the deck works and how to use it, good luck. No manual is included, and there are no instructions on how to use the mouse OR pull up the keyboard. Nor are there any means to know HOW TO pull up a help menu in steam/steamOS to find these instructions. If you want to know how to use the steam deck, you need to use a second device and google the deck manual. There is a small booklet included, but this is not a manual, it is literally the limited warranty and the required documentation that states that the deck is up to radio transmission compliance [I read the entire thing).

That, or know that you need to use "steam(button)+X(button)" to pull up the built-in keyboard, go to desktop mode, spend about 2-3min typing into firefox "steam deck manual", and hit enter, then download. Yes, it is actually 3min, because the keyboard in desktop mode is literally so bad that if you do not type like you are using a capacitive touch screen, one letter at a time, pausing a second between each letter, the keyboard will not register your inputs.

And yes there is a small list of button info when you start the deck< but this is just the deck literally telling you where the buttons are located and that's it. Unless you are blind or 3 years old, these starting instructions do not tell anyone anything. It is the gas station equal of them locking the pumps with a code and you asking for the code and instead of getting the code, they show you the layout of the panel on the pump; you can see that you're not blind.

       2. If you do not have a Bluetooth keyboard or USB-c adapter to plug in a USB keyboard, good luck using the device outside steam.

-In desktop mode you have to use the built-in digital keyboard, which (as explained above) is so slow, unresponsive, and prone to literally deleting entirely everything you have typed at random, that you may find yourself spending over a minute typing just 4-7 words. It is that bad. You will NEED an external keyboard to use desktop mode, or prepare to just be in so much frustration. Bluetooth keyboards also may result in different controls when pressing buttons.

Also, even if you do connect a Bluetooth keyboard, because the deck puts all connections (wifi and Bluetooth) to sleep when you press power and sleep the console, it literally removes and disconnects the keyboard. Meaning you will have to reinstall and reconnect the thing every time you click that power button. Some keyboards do still remain connected, however, but there is a significant chance you will need to reconnect yours, and then retype the activation code the deck give you to type (it gives a passcode to activate the Bluetooth keyboard, and you type it ON the keyboard.

If you have a normal usb keyboard and a usb-c to usb adapter, then there is no issue. Normal usb keybaords work pretty much without issue.

       3. steamOS steam is not normal steam, and as such is incompatible with a very large number of steam games.

-This is well known already by those who have and have not gotten their decks. SteamOS is incompatible with a fairly significant number of game titles in the steam library. It will still let you purchase them and download them, but you will want to check valves steam deck compatibility pages before buying, because you may end up spending half a grand on a console you cannot even play on.

      4. You cannot use any financing apps, websites, services, or means other than PayPal credit or a debit card to pay.

-This one especially irks. If you want to buy the steam deck, you may want to make sure you have actual income of some kind, a decent credit score, and can apply for PayPal credit. Steam does not take financing apps like Klarna and will not let you use credit to pay other than Paypal credit. And PayPal credits application process requires you to enter your income, does a credit score check, and a credit background check. So, for many people, they have waited a year, gotten the order e-mail, then found out they have to shell out $600+ at a random point in the middle of a random month, and get rejected from the only means to pay, and lose their deck.

     5. installing windows to dual boot or overwrite steamOS is basically non-functional.

-The process to install windows in order to play games that steamOS cannot, or run windows software and apps, or get android running on the steam deck, is actually very difficult and near impossible for the current run of the deck (OS3.3+). The process to dual boot requires a usb-c plug adapter that has 4 usb3.0 ports, as well as a USB keyboard and 4 USB drives with a minimum of 16gb of storage.

One USB will be bricked permanently soon as you flash it with the steamOS recovery image software, as this makes the drive that you use only 600MB. Regardless of the size of the external device you use when flashing SteamOS to that device (whether by Rufus or  another means), the process will permanently make that storage device roughly 400-600mb, and it will never be its original storage size ever again.

Then you need a second drive to flash windows onto, a third to flash GParted (a partition software iso image), and a fourth USB to place the windows drivers for wifi and Bluetooth (etc.). And you require a USB keyboard plugged in at all times, and as such will need the USB-c adapter to have either 5 usb3.0 ports, OR swap the USB drives and have them all labeled. And even then, the process to install windows (regardless of dual boot or perma-boot wiping steamOS) is likely to fail. there is a high chance you waste money on these resources for no gain.

As for the one thing they DO tell you:

1. You have three days to make your payment after getting your notification email (but have 4 months to wait).

-This especially irks me in particular, as they release the deck orders to people who have pre-orders in things referred to as "Q's". This is a business practice term and is shorthand for "Quarter", referring to a 3-month period that occurs 4 times per year (which is why it is referred to as "Q"). Q1 is Jan1-March31, Q2 Apr1-Jun30, Q3 Jul1-Sep30, and Q4 Oct1-Dec31.  Not that anyone cares... When you place a pre-order, you are given a quarter when your order will possibly go out to you. This is listed on the order page for the version of the deck you ordered.

The issue is that at any point in the 3-month period in which your release is listed, you could get that e-mail notifying you that your shipment is ready and you need to pay (for which you have 3 days). Imagine checking your e-mail every three days for 3 months, then seeing that valve pushed your order back to the next quarter, thus making you have to keep checking. The best advice I can give for how to check for that notification without turning on e-mail notifications and being woken up 24/7 by boner pill spam OR without missing the e-mail, is to check your e-mail every 4-5 days instead (counting the last day of the previous month as "day 1").

If, in fact, you do get that e-mail on day 1 of the month, and you check your e-mail in four days, counting the last day of the prior month as your "first day", then you will see the confirmation e-mail on the third day and be able to get your payment in. If the e-mail comes on day 3, then you will end up checking your e-mail right on that day. Checking every 4 days starting the end of the prior month as "day 1", is honestly the best option to not drive yourself insane. Many commented on this, but truly if you want to be sure you do not lose your chance at your deck, you either have to check every 3 days, every 4 days, or turn on e-mail notifications and go insane from those Nigerian princesses trying to send you booty call cancer spam e-mails.

***Ending Notes***

The whole thing is just a frustrating nightmare. The fact you need a keyboard and a second internet-enabled device to know how this thing works is just the epitome of idiocy. It is not as dumb as busnisses giving QRcodes on your phone, which then must be scanned, to find out about the business (just, why?).

Imagine if a nuclear power plant hired 200 new employees, and on their first day of work they were like:

"Welcome to the hazmat power plant. If you have any questions about what the fuck you are supposed to be doing here, here's a link for google, look it up."

There are two simultaneous wars in my complex, and I was blessed by a whopping crane...

The mockingbirds that live in my complex have oficially begun a war against the hawks for the nesting area in the trees that line the area high above the whole area. the mockingbirds have been employing guerilla tactics, sending in one bird as soon as a hawk finds a nice branch or fence to roost on. then that one bird will fly in and suicide bomb the hawk by flying into its face. then when the hawk wakes up pissed off, a second mockingbird will shoot in from behind, and strike the hawk in the back. then the first mockingbird shoots back and hits the hawk from below. all this while shrieking imitating the hawks call and repeatedly striking the hawk in its blind spots.

the hawks then attempt to hop to a different branch to flutter a bit distance away. but the mockingbirds WANT this, because they then tag team the hawk from behind and the sides midflight.. all the while the hawk barely has the ability to fly or maneuver and the mockingbirds peck and swoop in fast to strik the hawk. the hawks never lift a talon against the mockingbirds, partly because red shouldered hawks are apparently kind and docile to other birds, and partly because they are just chill af.
every day when either bird enters the "prime nesting area" a massive dogfight begins in the air and through the trees, as the RShawks hop around and flutter from branch to branch, and the mockingbirds shoot in and out trying to hit them from blind spots relentlessly. the most amazing thing is when two mockingbirds will chase a hawk directly into ANOTHER set of mockingbirds, who literally sit in the trees hiding, waiting for the hawk. then they proceed to execute a pincer maneuver to swoop and peck at the hawk.
I am sheerly dumbfounded by the sheer military skill of these tiny mockingbirds when fighting these hawks that are like, 8x their size. all the while the hawks just take it being chill af, like they do not care; they just like to roost and hunt squirrels and things like voles. the funniest thing i ever saw was the one time the hawks had enough of the mockingbirds crap, and one hawk flew to another for safety. the second hawk just started shrieking at the mockingbirds and they flew off like a room full of roaches when a light shines on. one shriek. one shriek and the mockingbirds gave up.
meanwhile at night bats fly in and fight opossums for space in the trees, and you hear them hissing and squeaking when you walk near some trees. and the bats will climb the low trees, the roofs, and the branches, and wait for bugs to fly by or eat the berries from the trees. i literally saw a bat drop out of a tree, fly down, catch a bug, then fly back up the 2ft distance into the same tree where it just went back to chilling.
now one of the mockingbirds i rescued from dying trapped in a sealed drain spout has befriended me and my dog, and likes to "fly down and warn us" of the hawks when we come by the coveted nesting area. he even poses for pics and videos [yes I do have some taken]. The RShawks also nest in the same area every year, which means that soon the hawks from last year will return to assist the current hawks with defending the coveted nesting location. And the RShawks [who are over 28in in size] mating season is between mid june and the 3rd week of august. Soon they should be here to do their mating dances and fight everything in sight to defend for a spot in the amazing best nesting spot. Thats right.... its GOT up in here and the dragons are on their way to defend the keep.
In other news, I got to see TWO whooping cranes. With the mockingbirds in my complex and the whopping crane, I have now seen 2 federally protected species in the vicinity of my complex.

I rescued a bird today, and when you read why and how, You WILL NOT believe.... [well that happened, Episode 4: "Why the gutter bird sings"]

Yeah so that happened, Episode 4: "a bird in the hand is worth cleaning your gutters"

Okay, it has been a while since I last had one of these to post. To be fair I have been busy with other things. But the weirdness does not wait.
I was out walking the dog earlier when we heard what sounded like scratching coming from one of the neighbors units. Now, normally I would disregard such a thing, because three of the people that side of the building own dogs, and it was likely their dogs. But the scratching kept going and was persisting like something trying to get attention.
I removed the covering on my ear to listen harder to try to pinpoint the sound, and found it coming from a unit that had no pet, and to be sure checked the balcony window. The scratching was coming from either the support pillar or the metal gutter with the plastic hose that was sealed.
I heard the scratching again and again, and it was definitely something panicking trying to escape the pillar or gutter. It was scared and in desperation trying to get out.
I had no idea what I was dealing with, maybe a bird, a rat, a mouse, an opossum, or even a ferret. I tried getting the dog to locate the point where the scratching was coming from, but Ernie was a doodle and while curious and always diving after vermin and birds, he was goofy faced confused as to what was going on. Should I let out the trapped animal, it might maul me or the dog; this was dangerous.
Now I need to preface this next part by explaining how the building's gutter systems works. It is a sealed unit, no holes on the rims around the roof, no holes on the bottom, only 2-3 exit points for fluids where metal pipes are fully open on the sides of the building. should something climb up the gutters, they are trapped unless they climb down another open drain pipe, and each building has two pipes on each side, with 8 pipes total, and no more than 3 open pipes per building. this building has 3/8 exit drains open, with a fourth drain leading to a plastic extension pipe that goes underground leading to a grassy drainage area.
the TLDR: it is extremely difficult to get into the pipes and more difficult to get stuck.
when I realized something was stuck and panicking and trying to get out, I knew I had to break the seal between the metal drain and the plastic connected pipe. or else, whatever was in there would suffocate, drown, starve, be crushed, or worse. I just decided to kick the area where the two pipes met to sever them without damaging them, and because I had isolated the sounds of the scratching and panicking to be far enough away that it would not hurt the animal.
Starting by lightly smacking the connected area with my palm, to make sure the animal would move out of the way, I pulled my leg up. With a swift kick, I knocked the two pipes apart, then as me and the dog watched for about 1.5 seconds, a medium-sized black and white bird shot out of the now open pipe like a bullet. then it expanded its wings, and in this hilarious "salvation day" like scene, the bird flew off like a rocket out of the complex. The look on the dogs face was PRICELESS. He was wide-eyed and staring at this bird that had flown out of a metal pipe, with this goofy expression like "THEY COME OUT OF THOSE?!?"
This is ridiculous as it is that this happened, the fact the bird was trapped there in the first place is even more ridiculous. because the gutter system is sealed, it means that the bird got stuck only one of two ways:
1. it flew UP one of the 3 open holes in the bottom exits of the gutter spouts.
2. it hopped up the plastic drain pipe that went underground to the grass drainage area.
then, it either:
1. fell down the pipe without getting hurt and got stuck
2. got lost and could not get back out.
considering that there are 8 pipes, that 3 are open, that the bird somehow went up an open pipe, did not exit another open pipe, got stuck, fell 3 stories without getting injured, AND was there making noise right as I was there to hear it and save it; this is either the luckiest or unluckiest bird on earth. depending on how you look at it. if I were not there at that moment, if I had not bothered to investigate, that would be a very upset or VERY dead bird.
This was absolutely ridiculous, a bird flying up a gutter and getting stuck, only to be saved right as they needed help the most? Yeah, that just happened....

Bojack Horseman Theory 2 - why his mother hated him

This is a simple but complex one.

The reason why Bojacks mother hated him was simple, because he reminded her of his father.

From his voice, to his mannerisms, to his novel, to his drunken stupor, to his actions, the way he spoke, the way he emoted with his hands when he talked, the sound of his voice and the enunciations, and even to his career; all of these things were a practical MIRROR REFLECTION of his father.

Bojack even inherited his father's idiocy, sociopathic tendencies, his narcissism, hatred for corporate America, obsession with attention and fame, womanizing, his selfishness, his drinking and lack of commitment, his hatred of kids, and his failures.

All Bojack's mother saw when she saw him was the husband that ruined her, the man that wrecked her life, the man that dragged her down into the cesspool that was the tarpit of LA, and the man who live the life of debauchery and negligence. He even had his fathers voice, albeit a casting decision by the shows creators, but still. She hated him so much because she hated her husband so much.

And this, is why she loved Bojacks tv sitcom, "Horsin' Around", because for the first time ever in her life, she could see her son not as the man that ruined her life, but as her son the performer; the person that brought her such entertainment and joy. his show reminded her of Bojack in his childhood years, before he became like his father, back when he reminded his mother of HER younger years as a performer. Simpler times. Happier times. Before everything went to shit.

His mom did not hate him, she hated his father and what Bojack had become; a shattered reflection of the lying cheat that shattered everything that was good in her life.

The most controversial thing I have ever written: Bojack Horseman Theory - Sarah Lynns death was inevitable [time for the truth]

This is a repost from my post on reddit, but due to the likelihood that it will be removed or lost, I am reposting here.

There was no saving Sarah Lynns life when she overdosed.

A drug overdose is fatal if not undone within a small timeframe, given that the heart has not stopped, and SL's had stopped), she would have needed cpr and Bojack does not know cpr. Even if Bojack called EMS IMMEDIATELY following Sarah Lynns OD at the planetarium, it would have taken them bare MINIMUM 7-15min to get there, another 3 to get inside and get to her, 2-5 to get her to the vehicle, then another 1-2 to get out the crash cart and a shot of adrenaline. There was no saving her, and Bojack knew this, because he knows drugs and OD's; it is entirely likely he knew that there was not enough time for EMS to come save her life. And thus, instead of wasting time trying to save a dead person, spent time "creating a rock-solid alibi"; as there were only two results. She dies on his hands and he takes the fall, OR, she dies and he gets a good enough alibi to not get locked up.

There is no accepting his actions, but I have known many MANY people in real life who dealt with addicts and drugs, and known people who died from overdoses. I also worked in the medical community volunteering with patients personally. Once the heart stops, you have minutes (roughly 8-10) to revive the victim.

Ems would have taken far too long to get to Sarah Lynn to even have a chance to revive her, regardless of time. Specially considering the average response time of EMS services.

Sarah Lynn died in the Griffith Park Observatory based off an actual observatory in LA, California. located at  Griffith Observatory 2800 East Observatory Road Los Angeles, CA CA 90027.

you can use an actual website to check what EMS response time on average across the united states is 14-16min (https://www.autoinsurancecenter.com/emergency-response-times.htm)

more info here:

https://fems.dc.gov/page/ems-response-time

There is information regarding how to keep a person who has overdosed alive here:

https://www.beachhouserehabcenter.com/what-happens-to-your-body-during-drug-overdose/

taking all this into account, that SL heart had stopped, her breathing had stopped, that she had collapsed, and was not responding and that Bojack only waiting 17min led to her dying in the hospital, there was NOTHING that could have been done to save her. When someone suffers and OD (https://www.beachhouserehabcenter.com/what-happens-to-your-body-during-drug-overdose/) all scenarios of survival have one thing in common: they need to be breathing and be given air.

and just using a basic search of how long a body can survive without air/breathing (http://www.med.umich.edu/trans/transweb/faq/q3.shtml/%3Ehttp:/curious.astro.cornell.edu/about-us/39-our-solar-system/the-earth/other-catastrophes/64-what-would-happen-if-the-gravity-on-earth-was-suddenly-turned-off-beginner%3Cbr%20/index.shtml) - about 10min, and that average national EMS response time is 14-16min, they would have shown up to find a dead oxygen-deprived Sarah Lynn and an exasperated Bojack trying to resuscitate her.

The TLDR? Since she stopped breathing, she would have been DEAD IN 10MIN, EMS taking 14min to reach her and Bojack, about 20min to get her to the equipment needed to try to resuscitate her, and thus, Bojack waiting 17 SECONDS would not have mattered. Sarah Lynn would NEVER have survived.

Prescription dog foods - Why I love ROYAL CANIN and my fluffy pup

First of all, let me pre-empt this by saying that I was not paid to make this.

Now onto the post.

Since losing my prior dog at the ripe happy old age of 13 to sudden pancreatic cancer, I have been caring for a new pooch; or rather we have been caring for each other. I found him at a shelter, and when his siblings started a dogpile fight and he just casually walked off, I instantly knew he was the one for me. That kind of passive wolfpack behavior is something you cannot train. When they brought him out, he ran to me; he also chose me.

He helped me through some hard times, and in the first year of having him not only did he double in size, but also in love joy. He is a large 100lb dog who is full of kisses and hugs and pays his rent in belly rubs and kisses, and his favorite toy of all time is this dumb stuffed egg with a pony inside. He takes it everywhere.

He was rough to raise due to having severe dietary restrictions, and we went through SOOO MANY different kinds of foods, bones, chews, and treats; nearly everything made him sick. That was until we found Royal Canin, here was where we finally had a food he liked and that did not cause any issues. He has been on this food for about a year, and now happily runs around being a goofy doodle, laying on the couch and giving plenty of kisses and begging for belly rubs.

As you can see, he is just a big fluffy ball of love. We have had so many adventures in just one year: seen a silver fox, followed a family of red-shouldered hawks and the babies they had that now live in our complex, saw several species of bats, had a funeral for a large raven who suffered a tragic death during a storm, went through the 14-day winter storm of 2020 (where nearly 2ft of snow piled up for 2 weeks), saw the insurrection happen on tv, made it through the 2020 pandemic, and many more. He especially helped me through the trauma of losing my prior dog, sitting by my side putting his head in my lap when I was sad, and giving me kisses every day to cheer me up.

This dog loves attention and loves hamming it up for people. Unless you are a flying insect he loves everything and everyone, just kissing everything in sight.
Royal Canin has been incredibly important to me and to him, because everything else just did not work or made him sick. I tried somewhere around 10 different brands and 6 different prescriptions before we found one that worked. Ernie (the dog) has such a sensitive stomach and cannot eat certain ingredients and animals, and of all the prescription foods I did try, Royal Canin was always reliable.

They have a wide variety of different types of food, low fat, chicken, fish, pork, beef, veggie, gastrointestinal low fat, and many more. Ernie is on the gastrointestinal low fat brand, and he is finally able to eat other things like dental chews, treats, and bones. Best part is that the royal canin food (like many other foods) can literally be bagged up in a ziplock and used as treats for your dog. Anytime, anyplace, your dog will love this food; they will not care they are eating the same thing every day.

Here is a video link to an Instagram clip of me feeding Ernie his Royal Canin dinner:

https://www.facebook.com/spernica/videos/2663984693904886

As you can tell, he LOVES this stuff.

Heck, even I as a human being thought the food smells really tasty; though I never tried it myself. A great thing about this brand is that it lasts a VERY long time, as each bag comes with a ziplock seal and an easy-cut top. You can easily and smoothly slice the top of the bag off with practically just a flathead screwdriver if done right. Also, if you get a shipment and the bag is tempered or ripped, you can contact Royal Canin (or whoever ships your food), complain, and they will literally ship a replacement FOR FREE. I once got a bag sliced in half that wrecked my kitchen, and after I filed a formal complaint, not once after did they ever ship a damaged bag; plus that complaint changed their entire shipping policy and their package labeling. Shipping is hassle-free and can be ordered from your local pet store, veterinarian. or Petsmart, or Royal Canin themselves, or even a website like chewy.com.

I have left bags of Royal Canin food sitting in my living room and garage for literal months, and due to their food being vacuum-sealed, they take a VERY long time before they go bad. Even if you leave the bag open, the food takes an erroneously long time before it gets close to expiring. Like, I had a ziplock of food from my prior dog about a year old, and it was still good to eat.

Ernie is the happiest dog I have seen in many a year, and we have owned 5 dogs, and I have seen thousands of dogs and their owners. This dog is also so easygoing and peaceful that when he accidentally steps on your foot or you walk into him while playing he cuddles up to you and plants 10 kisses. You can see a video of him being a goofball here on my youtube:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?app=desktop&v=GZYGqPrhbN4&feature=youtu.be&fbclid=IwAR3B4H6lfwh90Hcv9Fbpj1kOki1i-_LltZfNOoe_P3CXbhv0MZ2N8MXK9Us

I definitely spoil this puppy.

If you are considering a prescription food for your dog you should add Royal Canin to your list. I have also used other brands, but I cannot in good conscience recommend the brand my previous dog used because shortly after his death and about a 2-3weeks after I got Ernie) a report came out regarding a recall about brands I fed him that legit made him sick, and I also (as it turns out) I had tried these foods with Ernie. And, of course, those same foods made him sick too.

"Who looks like an oreo, and is 10 times as sweet? Who's got a fluffy nose, and big ol' feet? It's Ernie. It's Ernie. Who's got a bubblegum tongue and cuddly belly? Who gives the kisses, and is big fluffy smelly? Ernie. It's Ernie."

***Please support animal adoption rather than breeding and also spay and neutering. Make sure you only adopt if you are capable of caring for the animal you want to adopt. If you lack the necessary time to be home for the pet's training, always remember that crate training is efficient and simple to do, and can allow you to place your pet in a place where they will feel safe and secure. And they will not damage anything in your home while inside. However, NEVER leave your pets in a crate for extraneous periods of time, as this is hazardous to their mental and physical health (<8-9hours a day max, and preferably never inside when you are home and can see them while outside the crate.)***

I adopted Ernie, but he has roughly 4 siblings that I believe never made it out of the shelter. It is sad because it is likely that they might never get adopted. They may be wily and require training and space to run around, but they are pretty good dogs (as cane corso black lab mixes are very mellow and gentle). So again, please support spaying and neutering and adopting rather than breeding.

And if you ever see someone abandon a pet or abuse an animal, walk up to them, and say "you are a mean mean person, go lick a lemon. Then call the proper authorities/services to make sure those animals do not suffer a terrible fate (and then get stuck in a 3day time loop where a man asks them about a mask).

Doordash has a problem....

So lately [as in in the past month or so June 05, 2021] doordash has made some.... "price changes"... in some of their restaurant menus. One such example is in the cost of buying subway through doordash vs. ordering in person at an actual subway. The price of doordash is $2-4 [american] MORE than the physical locations. Seen below are the prices for the local subway near me:

These prices are recent as of the date above, and have not changed. Let us compare some of these to doordash prices as of today [august 2, 2021]. Seen below are just their "Popular items" list:

One can immediately see that the cost of several sandwiches are able to be compared, seen in the chart below:

We can see that some items have seen an alarming increase in price, like the Italian BMT, the Roasted Turkey, and Sweet Onion Chicken Teriyaki. And the Spicy Italian costs .10Cents less? Wait what?? BTW "Spicy Italian is my S/O's nickname for me when we were dating... just kidding, I never had a s/o because we live in the matrix. At least we MUST live in the matrix, because how else can you explain these insane price hikes?

I would bet you are thinking "Weeeelll, actually... they charge more because you are having the food delivered." To which the neko cat in my head says: UwU what are you talking about? silly goose, that is what the fees and delivery costs are for when you go to the payment page! The ridiculous price hike makes zero sense. Specially considering that Doordash had their prices much closer to the stores costs back in May and April 2021.

There was a sudden hike in price across many different restaurants [including other places than subway like McDonalds as well] without any cause or reason. This hike also happened to occur right after the Covid19 restrictions were removed and people were being let back out into the public. Now I am not one for conspiracy theory, but it seems kind of shady that at the EXACT SAME TIME that everyone was going back to work, leaving the home, making more money, and able to afford more food and delivery; that Doordash suddenly jacked up their prices. There is supply and demand, and then there is flat out throwing out a spike strip on the highway to force drivers to take the toll roads.

Now onto the main concern here, these price increases bring  up three main issues:

1. competition from other services.

charging an almost 50% price hike across the board for most of their restaurants is rediculous, specially when Uber Eats already charges a double charge fee [they basically charge a fee equal to twice the cost of whatever you try to order], and other services charge low costs. Doordash charging a rediculously huge cost across the board makes them less desireable to potential consumers, and thus costs them membership costs and delivery orders. losing profits is bad for the business AND the people who serve it.

2. it results in decreased comsumption hurting the businesses.

when people see that it costs them an arm and a leg to buy a small sandwich, they are unlikely to make large orders. buying less hurts the businesses suported by Doordash and their employees. It also causes people to spend more then that may want and can cause people to not be able to afford things they need. It negatively affects the businesses AND consumers.

3. it makes Doordash look like total and complete a$$holes.

"we cannot afford to pay our drivers." "our drivers do not earn enough." "our employees want more pay." "we cannot pay more." "Doordash delivery drivers complain about lack of deliveries and not making enough to even pay for gas."

Meanwhile me: *screams while pounding head on desk*

When Doordash is jacking up their prices roughly 50% of the ACTUAL COST, and this is a cost separate from the delivery fees, tip, taxes, and general fees, how can they IN ANY RIGHT SENSE OF MIND, say they cannot afford to pay their drivers more? This money does not go back to the business, it goes into the pockets of Doordash along with the fees and costs you pay when you go to the payment page.

Doordash makes double payment from consumers now due to raised costs, and every purchase nets them HUGE amounts of excess funds that they rightly could use to fix their own infrastructure issues. Instead they likely pocket this incredulous amount of extra money and never will give their drivers a reasonable pay for their hard work or time given. If you work for Doordash and ESPECIALLY Uber Eats [as they charge TWICE the cost of your meals as fees and pocket it], and expect more money for your hard work, they DEFINITELY have the money. They just refuse to pay it.

You want change? Share this information, make sure that people see it and know, bring the injustice to light, and make sure that Doordash sees you all doing so on social media. change only happens when enough people do the right thing and the right people now change is needed.

I have been starting walking to subway when I want a footlong, because it is NOT worth it to pay $25.00 to wait for someone to likely never bring my food. Specially when I can buy the same thing for less than HALF the cost.

A thought experiment: is evil research justified?

let's say that we have two two chefs.

one chef is a convicted felon and a murderer while the other is just a normal public citizen.

both chefs sell sandwiches that they make; the convicted murderer sells the best sandwich that you could ever eat and it's rated as the best sandwich on the planet. while the normal citizen chef sells a sandwich that tastes so bad that it makes people sick.

which chef would you consider it being okay to order a sandwich from? would it be wrong to order from the convicted murderer because they're a murderer? even though they sell a genuinely good product that is the best of its kind? or would it be wrong to buy from the chef that genuinely makes people sick when they eat from them? and let's say that you have to choose one of them to order a sandwich from.

using the previous established lore, let's say that each chef has their sandwiches swapped. let's say that the convicted murderer is selling the sandwich that is making people sick and that the normal citizen chef is selling the sandwich that is the best on the planet. who would you order from then? and now let's add in a surprise Factor, the two chefs have actually stolen the recipes from each other.

considering the answer that you just gave, would you continue to stand by that answer and not falter? would you still order the delicious sandwich from the normal citizen chef, even though that chef stole the recipe? and even though the recipe was stolen from a convicted murderer? this is important because now both chefs are known felons and neither one of them is an innocent party; both have stolen and committed a crime but one has committed a greater crime.

the reason for this thought experiment? is it worthwhile to buy a product from someone when they are a genuine horrible person or they've done terrible things, if that person has a genuinely good product or has done genuinely incredible and valuable research or gathered valuable information that the world could use?

now this might upset a few people, in fact it's going to upset a lot of people, and this is not my intention at all. I only mean this to give people a simple discussion. but, in world war II the Nazis did many MANY MAAAANNNY horrible and terrible things to the people that they kidnapped and tortured and eventually murdered. I in no way condone what they did, because what they did was horrifying and terrifying. however we would not be where we are as a society or as a planet without much of the horrible and taboo experiments that were committed during world war II.

regrettably, the world decided to use the research, in spite of its ethically questionable means and motives. and in spite of the very many people who were killed. and now we know a lot of information we would have never known, like how twins interact with each other. and how an infant child will die if left unattended or shown any love.

the thought experiment I'm posing to the world today, is whether you think, and this is to YOU personally reading this, it is okay to use information or products obtained and created, even if those products are created by terrible people, if those products and that research could genuinely benefit the entirety of humanity or are a genuinely good product?

i.e. if a murderer literally did make the best sandwich on the planet, would it be worth buying that sandwich? what are your thoughts?

well that just happened... - EP.1: THE TELEPORTING CAT

My Neighbors cat just parkoured up to my balcony on the second floor, In the Rain Mind you. Then proceeded to stare In the Window at my dog and I While we were Drying off from His walk. I walked over and turned my head to see the cat just, sitting there, staring into my home. Like, if this were a human being, this would be immediate "psycho behavior" [and i should know, because i invented the toastercorn].

I walked over and was Like "what are you Doing here?!?".

Cat: mrow?

Me: don't you 'mrow' at me. This Is the second story; how Did you get up here?!?

Then my dog comes over and starts Barking at the cat trying to play through the Window. So, I go to put the dog In the Kitchen so I can Bring the cat over to my Neighbors place, get It out of the Rain and not Risk It Falling or Getting hurt.

[Mind you, the only way up is a wet brick wall and it is raining, and the nearest climbable structure is a wooden fence about 8+feet away. So this cat climbed up 8 feet in the rain, jumped another 8feet onto my balcony, then stared into my home for like 5min, then left the same way he came up.]

I turned my back for Like a Minute. Then when I look back Again the cat Is gone. I go Outside, there Is no cat, and he Is not even near my place. I Believe This Is Official Confirmation; cats can teleport, and they are Gathering Intel on us through our Balconies. Worst part is that unlike dogs, we cannot bribe them with treats and belly rubs, lest they bite our fingers off for rubbing for .o0000000000000000o1 seconds too long.

Well, i am off to buy 10,000lbs of catnip to bribe the coming invaders. And also some cheese its, i love cheese its.

We are still here! introducing the new series, "well that just happened"

coming immediately will be a new story series. This series is going to be called "well that just happened.." and the series is going to cover hilarious and weird experiences I and others close to me go through. the first one is about my neighbors teleporting cat.

announcements. 2020 is like the fourth stepsister from the Disney Cinderella movie.

so, covid 19 sucks like a rapper just before they blow out a shit ton of lyrics.
had surgery done and might have flesh eating bacteria.
dog got hit with cancer in the period of a week OUT OF NOWHERE and had to be put down. AND HIS BED HADN'T EVEN BEEN DELIVERED YET. that's what i get for the usps working in detroit, cant have shit in detroit. gonna be a new dog here in a couple weeks just show up to my home the same day a bed is delivered. be like, "whats going on here? are you planning something?"
created an instagram and instantly deleted it. don't need a service for a dog that is dead, not THAT KIND of sociopath
COMPLETELY FORGOT i had a blog here. like, how do you do that? i have used this thing for like a literal decade, then i watch one karen preach about how injecting fornite in her sons arm cause him to develop auti-cancer. actually can we talk about how all the people protesting masks as part of a conspiracy were [and still are] the same people complaining about their kids "getting autism" from vaccines? look, if the united states govenment knew how to create autism in serum form, there would be like this "secret sector" of the government made entirely of "super soldiers" made by being injected with autism with half of them solving the cure to every disease and the other half screeching terrifying nightmare humans rocking back and forth every 8 seconds and unable to recognize faces or establish meaningful relationships or empathy.
have you SEEN autistic people doing complex science and problem solving? many people on the spectrum are like geniuses when it comes to tech and puzzle solving, the rest are like i should know, i have been autistic my entire life and seen how incredible people with disabilities can be and the changes they can help make for the world. and working to help people struggling with life and disabilities most of my life has been nice, all we want is to be equals while being recognized for who we are. normal people are boring, like watching cats chase a laser pointer [which can be fun if you like train the cat to activate light switches using it, like i did.] people who are different are the ones that change the world, who save lives and bring justice to those facing injustice. the people that want to be like everyone else are the ones who grow up making your uber deliveries and serving your fast food. "wait, i didnt order this pickle?"
EEEEEAAAAAT IIIIIIIIIT!!
"uhhhhh, no?"
okeee.
[but like seriously i LOVE pickles].
never be the same as the crowd. be different, be like the salmon that hops the falls to breed and bitch slaps the hungry bear in the face with its tail.
could you imagine a nature mag putting in a photo like that? i think i might just shit my pants off laughing.
the bear like: "you will die"
and the salmnon being like: oma wa mo shindeiru
as the bear goes: NANI?!?
and gets slapped in the face by the salmons tail as it soars by.

strange loophole with the american taxing system & the stock market

sooo i found an interesting loophole that [maybe] the irs did not count on regarding stock taxing and sales.
stay with me here through this rabbit hole.
stocks are assessed at a value that is equal to the final amount after sales. this is calculated by takingg the amount invested in the original stocks cost [ai], adding any gains made from that amount [g], and then subtracting the cost of selling the stock [cs] made when the stock is sold AND the value of the original stock when bought, and the final amount is your stocks value [sv].
this results in a formula: (ai + g) - (cs + ai)=sv
if your sv is > then you have a net gain. if < then a net loss. to figure out what the loss is compared to your stocks value prior to sale [the percentage, or [p]], you divide the [sv] by the value of [ai]+[g].
you list the original cost twice because that was money you spent initially to buy the stocks. if they were given as a gift the value of [ai] is instead added to [g].
so if your stock was originally $10, you make $20, then the sale price to sell your stocks is $35 then you can use (ai + g) - (cs + ai). (10 + 20) - (35 + 10)=-15. meaning a net loss of $15. this makes [p]=[sv]/([ai]+[g] or [-15/30=-.5].
so why does all this math have to do with a loophole? well if your stocks can ONLY sell at a certain price, like lets say $30, and you intentionally keep your stocks below that amount, they will ALWAYS sell for a net loss when being reported for tax purposes.
keeping your stocks that low would make no sense unless you had hundreds to thousands of different individual stocks. or unless you do so for safety and legal purposes, to protect investments, or to keep someone else from using them. for me i have had over 49 counts of identity theft and on any given month deal with a literal average of 14-17 counts of identity theft average. as such i have to be VEERY careful with my money and accounts. i cannot risk having my stocks or money being hacked or stolen, and to prevent this i keep my stocks at a low amount till the algorithm dictates the time to make investments. i always pay my dues, but anyone could take like several hundred thousand dolars to a million dollars or more, throw it into like several million stock investments of low amounts below the sale price, and then just leave their account like that. they have an emergency or something that drains their bank accounts? well they have several million in small stocks that due to being below the sale threshold would cause a value equal to bankruptcy, and as such the stocks have a "legally reportable negative value." yet they still have potential millions sitting around they could draw from merely by having a cash balance in their exchange account equal to about 1-3 "small stock" purchase value.
like using $100 as the sale price, if someone had 100,000 individual stock accounts valued at $5<100($95) and an actual cash balance of $100-200 sitting in the wings, their account would be valued at a net loss of potential MILLIONS, yet $100 could allow them to gain potentially $9.5mil in only a matter of a few days and their stocks would be at a NET GAIN instead.

i took on the NPH [theory 11] card riddle - and how i solved it [Theory 11 NPH Playing Cards Deck riddle] - part 1

now everyone is saying we shouldnt post about how we solved this deck riddle. but ive been doing this stupid thing for months and months and was so far in the wrong direction that i would have NEVER gotten it had i not found the one hint that got me on the way to solving it. while i will provide the instructions for how i found my way i cannot actually show how i found the answer.

first of all the deck comes with text that says:

"this is going to be a challenge. just as a spider spins its web, i've taken a page out of cardano's book and created a puzzle. look upon photos and images inside this deck. you can do this - just look closely at the cards. good luck!"
the key here is the old sesame street song "one of these things doesnt belong", find the the odd thing out in the text above and literally google it.
the short version is that it will eventually lead you to THIS INFORMATION:
THIS is how you solve part 1 of the riddle, and it involves precision cutting with a utensil like an x-acto knife on one of the cards that came with the deck. i will say that what card it is is VERY obvious, and had i been a child id be dead from stabbing myself by accident. but i am, however, an epileptic and my tremors make precision cutting seriously dangerous.
with the card cut it leads to a webpage [no i will not post it, but i WILL give you the image]:
by the way this image has been altered in size and moved around. so you do not know how it should be applied. i want people who just want the answer to be able to get it without destroying their beautiful decks of cards or risking slicing their hands up.
i would suggest that while solving the riddle you use painters tape [that blue easily removable tape] to cover previous sections. this way you can keep altering the decoder.

how to put all gaming consoles into one [seriously this works] - also the best app list

i may have found the PERFECT method to do this.
1. any computer with hdmi connection port
2. download andyos
3. download any emulator
4. connect consoles via hdmi
5. use andyos + screensharing/casting to cast your screen+computer over any wifi network and thus you can play any system anywhere

andyos is an android vmware [a software that runs android os at the same time as everything else on your computer]. it can be installed on mac or windows, and runs like clockwork. once installed you can log into your google account through the android interface. through google play you can install and play literally any app your phone or tablet can. LITERALLY ANY APP.
if you combine andyos with windows built in game mode [windows logo+g] you can record your screen, audio, and other aspects. it is important that you do not open too many things whie running andyos to make sure it doesnt lag.
also with andyos you can install things like the at&tuverse app to watch tv on your computer [believe me this is frustrating to try to do without android.] basically you can watch your dvr on the go. though i ran into some wierd administrator/parental control issues. you can even install emulator apps or games that are normally only available through google play+android.
[the following is a list of valueable apps for literally everyone and anyone, to skip to the gaming part of this type "hdmi" into the search bar and skip to the second entry]
this brings us to running any console through andyos, basically you can install the emulator for consoles [drastic for ds, my boy! for gba+gbc+gb, snes9x for snes+nes, epsxe for ps, ppsspp for psp]. these emulators are worlds better than the computer based counterparts. for computer though youll want pcsx2 for ps2, dolphin for gamecube+wii, and if you want a really good gb-gba emulator for pc you can use mgba [which is easier to use but can be difficult due to syncing issues with sound and video].
there are also very good apps only available on android [and not even on ios]:
"scanner radio - fire and police scanner" is an app that has police and emergency scanners provided by local citizens.
"letter scrambler" and "alarm clock plus *" [thats a star at the end] are two good apps, with the first being basically an app that takes random letters and gives all words possible from them [if you play scabble] and alarm clock plus is a special alarm clock app that allows you to set multiple alarms and use your own music to use as alarms [and yes you can put music and files into andyos and access them]
"phases of the moon calendar & wallpaper free" is a great app that keeps track of the moons phases for any stargazers out there.
accuweather is the most accurate weather app. "noaa weather officlal" is one of the best weather apps for severe weather.
"random numbers generator" [the icon has two red dice] is the most fun app for anyone who plays d&d, board games, or wants to place a bet. the app allows you to set parameters for mini and max numbers and exclude numbers and rng at infinitum or till the numbers run out.

[the following section is for texting/calling apps to get to the game console info type "hdmi" into the search bar].
tired of those annoying spam calls or people who just wont stop texting? or ever wanted to text someone but not wake them at 3am?
"text me: text free, call freee, second phone number" is an appa vailable through android and ios that allows you to have your own personal phone number at no cost. you will need to watch ads and complete some tasks [which give you a certain number of "points/credits" and these points are minutes. one credit is one minute and you can easily get hundreds of credits, and they transfer with your account so you never lose them. texts also never use points, and many phone calls dont use points.
truecaller is literally the best app you can ever download. that is a fact. it has a caller id feature and call block feature that can let you block any call listed under an unknown name. it also allows you to block texts. the blocking feature can be selected from all phone calls, and the app keeps a record of all calls missed, picked up, and sent; by name. the app even saves blocked people when you transfer your account, so no losing blocked spammers. it cannot block all spammers as they always use different numbers, but typically once blocked they never call again. trucaller is also free and costs no money so its a must have.
"send it later! sms scheduler" is a unique app that allows you to send text messages at a later time and/or day. you type the message you want to tsend and select the recipient then choose a later date and time [including the same day 1 minute later] and the message gets sent at that time. i love sitting around the table eating dinner and having sent like 16 messages to everyone in the room five hours prior with kitty faces. then while eating with my phone on the table and my hands fully visible i watch the chaos as everyones phones blow up and they look at me and everyone freaks the f!@# out. its also good for sending texts at 2am that dont get sent til 9am so you arent summoning the wrath of your s/o asleep in the other room.

now onto the ultimate gaming sessions. first of all you will need at least one hdmi cable. basically any gaming console can be plugged into the computer via hdmi. if you use a splitter you can plug multiple consoles in.
what you want is to also get a steam account. steam is a pc gaming app/program [arogram?] that has a giant ass gaming library. if your computer can run steam it is important you do so. what youll want to do is install steam and setup an account. then plug in whatever consoles you want to play on through hdmi. youll want to set up your computer to be used as a display for the hdmi. with that done and considering you have downloaded the gaming emulators above you are ready.
basically just find any device you want to game on that has screen sharing or device local connecting/wifi screen casting. using your computer simply cast/connect to that other device [making sure you can use a controller with it. with the ability to control your own computer wirelessly you can play games off andyos, steam, the console through hdmi, or the emulators you have on that computer.
now a more complex but WAAAY more effective method to do the above is to use the "team viewer/teamviewer" software. yes i know that is the software primarily used by "nigerian tech scammers", but it is also a program that allows remote control of the pc from any device through wifi. this is significant because you can connect from a second device, turn on your computer, enter the code, then leave your home. then as long as you dont lose your connection you can remotely accesss your home pc through team viewer and use literallhy everything on it. you can even black out the home computer screen so nobody in your home sees you messing with your own computer, or lock the device if you notice someone screwing around with it while you are out.
but basically [short of where to get roms, and if you want that info go to "chucknorris.com"] that is it. it is convoluted, but it works.

why the "vader reveal" scene in the first star wars trilogy sucks

--if i told you i had an eighteen inch p**** would you be like "no! thats impossible!" or be more like "prove it b!@#$"?--

when you actually think about context the "vader reveal" scene in the first star wars trilogy was the stupidest thing ever. were watching a movie about good vs. evil and super powered telepaths and suddenly we get "hey luke has a father and its vader'. but who, in regards to actual plot of the movie at that time and date, was even asking about lukes father? it would be like introducing han solo as palpatines nephew.
let me ask you this, while watching "die hard" would you really be thinking about who the guys uncle or father was? or his kids? no. now what if i told you that kid the cop shot WAS his kid?
contrived. that is what the vader reveal was. contrived from a point no person ever brought up once in the movie. so they could build drama.
also it was only so lucas could bring the point of leah later, but then why make them kiss?
its like when you are watching a movie and they suddenly throw out the plot to bring in a new one with a completely new villain with zero back story that they never touch on and who was never mentioned once in the entire movie. then they never touch that villain again.
without knowing whether luke cares about his dad all we saw was that he hated vader. and that vader killed his dad. then vader was his dad. so with no character development for luke over his feelings for his father lukes reaction makes no sense. if i told you i had an eighteen inch penis would you be like "no! thats impossible!" or be more like "prove it b!@#$"? luke knew vader was evil and that dark side users were manipulative, so why even believe him. also vader just cut off his hand and then offered help.
if someone punched me in the d!@# and then offered me a ham sandwich you can sure as hell bet THIS would be MY first reaction:

for the best perspective imagine if during the climax of infinity war dr doom showed up, punched thanos in the face, stole the gauntlet, then teleported away. then everyone turned to dust, and in endgame the avengers were after thanos because he snapped half the universe away and he claimed he destroyed the stones.
the vader reveal came at a time and during the second movie, with no mention of lukes parents, or his father, with the only mentioning it one being obi wan but yet fails to mention leah. you get over an hour in the movie and then theyre like "oh yeah, luke had a father, bet you werent thinking about that with that big battle for hoth and all".
yes people wondered just who vader was, because of the mask, that is what masks do. if you walk around with a group of people and one person who always goes by a pen name wears a mask everywhere, eventually youll be driven nuts over who that person really is. specially when they keep buying you taco bell and randomly stealing your hats.
but just out of nowhere being like "hey vader is lukes father" came from NOWHERE, it LITERALLY was something that NOBODY was thinking about. and i get it, everyone is like "THATS WHY IT WORKS! SHUT UP YOUR JUST A JEALOUS IDIOT! YOU DIDNT THINK OF IT FIRST!" well i was also negative 19 years old when that movie came out, so shut up before i slap you with my non existent prezygote semen tail.
and also that is why it DOESNT work. having a reveal that is set up through out the movie but is subtly hinted at with things you only see when rewatching like fifty times isnt a good reveal. spoiler warning?
the reveal in the saw franchise that there was more than one jigsaw and there had been the entire time was always set up and brilliant. the reveal that detective pikachu was the dad was hinted at so hard if you were blind and dumb you should have seen it, but was a good plot twist. the twist in scream that there was a second killer, smart and not many saw that coming. the plot behind the elder wand, pschotic but incredibly brilliant. cars 2 plot twist with the villain being on full display and only being revealed at the last second was great [i know people hate that movie but spy thrillers are generally great movies].
but the vader reveal had no buildup, not in the sense of viewer expectations. it was kind of like killing nemos mother and then never touching on that point literally ever again. "then who would YOU make vader?" i hear you say. that is NOT my point, my point is that if you are to reveal someone like vader as lukes father then, first of all dont use the dutch term for father, cause that just makes things obvious.
but more importantly ACTUALLY MENTION LUKES FATHER MORE THAN THREE TIMES. we as viewers were not watching that movie with any kind of knowledge that luke even CARED for his father, let alone KNEW HIM. we know luke knew OF him, but nothing more.
thats like a horror movie having characters being like "hey theres this monster"
protagonist: what kind?
"its a monster. its this thing that does this stuff to these things and they all ended up looking like that whatever"
then a rabbit hops out the bushes
"thats it! thats the monster!"
and with that i leave you with the monster from this story:
i call him timmy.
